The NE-7M is an ideal solution for listeners who are hesitant to drop big bucks on a set of in-ear headphones in that it will give you most of the performance of a set of $100+ ’phones for about half the price. The “special sauce” here is that the NE-7M offers the added versatility of being a headset—not just a headphone. For sound quality-conscious people who own music-capable cell phones, NuForce’s NE-7M is one of most sonically satisfying and cost effective solutions around.

NuForce’s NE-8 in-ear headphones offer exceptional sound quality for the money, with a presentation that emphasizes openness, transparency, and resolution of inner details. Bass can seem a little “lean,” but is taut and very well defined. Given these strong positive qualities, the NE-8s would have earned our Playback Recommended rating, but for one caveat: these ’phones aren’t easy to fit properly—at least not for all listeners. If possible, try these ’phones on before you buy them; if the NE-8s fit the shape of your ears/ear canals, you’ll have a sure-fire bargain on your hands.

The NuForce UF-30 is very comfortable which becomes truly one of its most salient features. The light weight and sturdy headband make long wear very pleasant. More than that, S-Logic’s lower acoustic pressure is restful and I was very surprised at the absence of stress or brain fog after three-hour listening sessions. Whatever the chosen volume, these headphones deliver relaxed listening, definitely a remarkable feature...The UF-30 seems to be one of the very rare compromises in the portable audio market that combines stylish design, is foldable, comfortable, audiophile, fatigue-free and affordable

Using Ultrasone's drivers for this application, the sound is directed on a specific path to "create" the impression of a broader soundstage...Bass is really quite full with a tightness that was unexpected. Midsare very clean ,with a very slight tubular sound to them and the highs sharpened things up nicely. Overall the sound is really passive such that the real music comes through as it should. These are excellent headphones to use out in public where you might want to be noticed, but also want to be able to notice (hear) what is going on around you.
