The Magic Cube is a passive device that minimizes the distortions inherent in amplifier-cable-loudspeaker interactions. The Magic Cube accomplishes its "magic" by creatively addressing two fundamental problems: the distortion that arises from amplifier-to-loudspeaker linkage and the distortion that occurs in the conduction of current through speaker cables.
The NuForce Magic Cube can be integrated into your system in a number of ways. In addition to the conventional setup of one Magic Cube per amplifier channel / speaker cable, the MC can also be used in bi-wired systems of varying complexity. For instance, you can use any number of Smith Cell sections without concern for amplifier or speaker safety. Magic Cubes can be inserted at either end of the cable or one at each end to further enhance your system's performance. However, irrespective of system configuration, the user must be aware that only one filter section can be used per amplifier-output channel. In a bi-wired setup, as an initial step, we recommend employing the filter in the cable feeding the woofer section. But every system is different. You may prefer to experiment by trying it on the tweeter section. To repeat: only one filter section can be used per amplifier channel. We urge you to experiment in order to arrive at the combination that works the best for your system.

What does the Magic Cube do for your system?
Quite simply, the Magic Cube makes any system, NuForce or otherwise, sound better. Owing to the unit's ability to heighten resolution, the listener will better perceive musical details in terms of micro-dynamics, ambient cues, and soundstage imaging. The Magic Cube affects the sound quality in many areas with subtle differences. The impact is very noticeable when you audition your system with Magic Cube first, then remove it for comparision.
Nuforce provides three interchangeable filters (MSRP $49.95/unit):
MC-SCTL - for low output impedance tube amps
MC-SCTH - for high output impedance tube amps
MC-SCSS - for low output impedance solid-state amps"
A pair high quality OFC speaker cable is included with each Magic Cube. For better performance, customer could order the Nuforce Focused Field speaker cable.
Filters are NOT REQUIRED for use with Magic Cube. Our preference is to use Magic Cube with Nuforce amp without any filter.
