Speakers S-9
Latest news - S-9 will go through a major upgrade in 2010. Stay tune for the release of S-8 in May, 2010.
The technology behind the Nuforce S-9 speaker rests on the premise that true high-fidelity performance should be based on solid engineering principles that likewise strive to achieve the highest degree of value. In order to reach these goals, it became obvious that we would need to depart from traditional methodologies. The S-9 speaker, the result of a most productive collaboration with SP Technology Loudspeakers, Inc., is poisedto establish a new reference at a remarkably reasonable price.
Robert E. Greene, The Absolute Sound, USA
Before you even hear a sound, you know this one is something different...extraordinarily clean-sounding...play really loudly...ultra-pure sound...ability to reveal the details of sound expanding into ambient space is startling...have good bass extension...extreme top of the S9s takes off into the wild blue yonder...The S9s did well on the ultimate test, reproduced versus live music...really convincing in this nearly direct comparison with live music...convincing on large-scaled orchestral music like full orchestra as well...Voices were surprisingly realistic in their natural timbre and precise positioning, and people sounded like people...think about what live music really sounds like. I think you will come away as impressed as I did." - Feb 2007 Issue

Listening Impression
On first hearing, you will find the S-9 to be one of the "fastest" speakers you've ever heard. Attacks and decays are reproduced with extreme accuracy. The S-9s project many of the advantages of horns and electrostats while avoiding their problems.
On the one hand, they offer the speed and transparency the best electrostatics have to offer - without their dynamic limitations. On the other, they deliver the dynamic range we associate with horn speakers, but without their attendant nasality and "honkiness". Added to all of this is a level of soundstaging far superior to any horn speaker and better than many electrostatic designs. The NuForce S-9's imaging abilities rival the best mini-monitors on the market.
Harmonic textures and timbres will amaze you. And then there's the bass. Given the size of the speaker, it goes a lot lower than you would expect. While others claim low frequency response from small speakers, in practice they simply don't deliver. Whatever low bass they do produce is garbled by excessive distortion at anything but the most modest of playback levels. Not the S-9. The deep bass is powerful, tuneful and meticulously detailed.
Don't take our word for it. Listen for yourself.
